The Hillman Center for Performing Arts is home to our professional performing arts series, community performances, student productions and more!

The Hillman Performing Arts Series made its debut in 2005. This series offers an opportunity for our audience to see world-class professional performers on the main stage of the Richard E. Rauh Theater or in the more intimate black box of the Peter J. Kountz Theater. The series is typically comprised of five to seven performances from fall through spring in both spaces.

Occasionally we bring in an artist, performer or speaker that would not normally be a part of our Hillman Series as a special event. Some of these events are generously underwritten by our benefactors.

The Hillman Center is also home to Shady Side Academy Senior School performing arts programs. Our facilities serve as classrooms during the day and offer SSA students amazing performance spaces for school concerts, plays, musicals and more.

Capping off our programming are community performances. From galas to recitals to festivals, the Hillman Center provides an affordable, state-of-the-art home for local culture. We welcome community rentals of our spaces for performances.
