Hillman Performing Arts Series
The 2021 Hillman Performing Arts Series features four musical acts for patrons of all ages and interests. For the coming season, we have shifted all our programming to the Spring of 2021 with the hope that we will be able to gather together safely. The series will either be held inside our 660 seat Rauh Theater or in an outdoor venue. All venue options will include socially distant seating and safety protocols.
The mission of the Hillman Center for Performing Arts is to provide family-friendly entertainment that is both affordable and accessible. Tickets prices for the season will be $25 per ticket.
Our 2021 series kicks off Saturday, March 13 with the return of Grammy Award-winning musician Dom Flemons. With a repetoire that spans over 100 years of cross-genre music as well as original songs, Flemons promises an evening that shares how he earned the name “The American Songster.”
On Saturday, March 27, we welcome Americana folk duo The Honey Dewdrops. The duo will share their unique Appalachian/Contemporary sound, with their blend of folk, accoustic and bluegrass sounds.
The season continues on Saturday, April 17, when we welcome Latin Grammy nominee Sonia de los Santos. In the series first ever family focused performance, this unique concert will include songs from her debut album, Mi Viaje: De Nuevo León to the New York Island, which shares messages of joyful community music making and cultural bridge building will inspire and excite children and grown-ups of all backgrounds.
The season will finish up on Saturday, May 18, Mother's Day weekend, with a special perfromance by Steinway artist Robin Spielberg. Following the release of her 19th studio album, Spielberg will perform music from her vast repertoire of American melodies and original favorities focusing on love, meaningful reflection and fun stories.
