Hillman Center Loading Dock, Outdoors
“The American Songster” Dom Flemons returns to the Hillman Series following his sold-out performance in 2019. With a repertoire of music that covers more than 100 years of American folklore, ballads and tunes, the Grammy Award-winner will perform songs from his new 2020 solo album, Prospect Hill: The American Songster Omnibus. He is a songwriter, music scholar, historian and multi-instrumentalist and an expert player on the banjo, fife, guitar, harmonica, jug, percussion, quills and rhythm bones.
Note: All 2021 shows will have limited ticketing and socially distant seating in accordance with current PA gathering limits, with COVID-19 safety protocols in place. Fully vaccinated guests may remove masks for the outdoor performances. Should the show move indoors, all guests will be required to wear masks.
For loading dock performances, guest seating will be in the Hillman Center's rear parking lot on a first-come, first-served basis. Chairs will be provided, or guests may bring their own, and social distancing will be maintained between household groups. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages as well. In case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved inside to the Richard E. Rauh Theater and assigned seats will be given.
