The Honey Dewdrops
SATURDAY JUNE 26, 2021 • 3 p.m.
Hillman Center Loading Dock, Outdoors
For the past decade, Americana duo The Honey Dewdrops – Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish – have performed fresh, original songs influenced by traditional Appalachian music with a contemporary flare. You’ll hear it in their harmony-soaked songs and the mastery of their instruments’ acoustic tones, but also in their songwriting, which reflects the hard realities of today. With a versatile musical setup that includes a clawhammer banjo, mandolin and acoustic guitars, they blend folk and acoustic with a hint of bluegrass to create music that is powerful, heartfelt and authentic.
NOTE: All 2021 shows will have limited ticketing and socially distant seating in accordance with current PA gathering limits, with COVID-19 safety protocols in place. Fully vaccinated guests may remove masks for the outdoor performances. Should the show move indoors, all guests will be required to wear masks.
For loading dock performances, guest seating will be in the Hillman Center's rear parking lot on a first-come, first-served basis. Chairs will be provided, or guests may bring their own, and social distancing will be maintained between household groups. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages as well. In case of inclement weather, the performance will be moved inside to the Richard E. Rauh Theater and assigned seats will be given.
